2 THOUSAND Spam Comments

I missed this a couple of days ago. There have now been more than two thousand spam comments submitted to this blog! Most were for various adult type products, obviously not suitable for this blog.
Thanks to the Akismet plug-in that comes with WordPress, the software that powers this blog, all but a very few were ever seen by anyone other than myself. Even those were very quickly deleted.
The total number spam comments, as I write this, now stands at 2,071. At his pace, I will probably hit 3000 before the end of Summer.

Akismet has caught 29,947 spam messages on my blog http://www.nyoatrader.com/blog in the past two years since I moved to WordPress. I guess I’m on all of the ‘good’ spam mailing lists.
We’ve only got 366.
