Lost and Missing Data

The software I use to pull eBay data, Auction Intelligence (AI), was having problems dealing with a new eBay “feature” and not pulling all the data it was supposed to be. A temporary fix was put in place. After a while I thought this was fixed. The amount of search data being pulled was way down but I was putting the blame for that on several big sellers no longer being active on eBay combined with the usual seasonal fluctuation as we moved in Fall. It turns out I was mistaken.
After a couple of months of work, Auction Intelligence has issued another update that deals much better with eBay’s security features. It turns out I was missing a lot of data. Some is now lost, due to age. I will do my best to capture what I had been missing Emphasis will be put on higher priced items as these sell less frequently.
It will take a while but things will eventually return to normal. I’m hoping the loss of any significant pricing data will be minimal.
