This also jives with the Trexler location. I have seen the '49 3A meeting listed as Unami/Treasure Island, but a 1981 SE-1 Manual of Lodges indicates that Shenshawpotoo's Ray Garrabrandt received Vigil at the '49 Pow-Wow and that the event was held at Camp Trexler. This was a large section that included 3, 349 and 33 from Virginia along with nine lodges from North Carolina. This is the only time the lodges of eastern North Carolina would leave their state for a section conclave. Three of those North Carolina lodges (188, 459, and 560) have since returned to the Dixie Fellowship (SR-6). So Blue Heron lodge has been linked with both the Order's founding lodge (Unami 1) and the bastion of Southern tradition and comraderie that is the Dixie Fellowship. Nearly fifty years later, in 1996, Blue Heron would find itself hosting SE-7′s “Cardinal Conclave”. This was a large section that included 3, 349 and 33 from Virginia along with nine lodges from North Carolina. This is the only time the lodges of eastern North Carolina would leave their state for a section conclave.
