1955 Area 3B Patch

In August of 1955, Eriez Lodge #46 hosted the lodges of northwestern Pennsylvania for the Area 3B conference at Camp Sequoyah, in Springfield Township near the shores of Lake Erie. The patch for the conference was a white felt round with a silk-screened red and black design.

This is among the largest early conclave patches, with a diameter over four inches.

While the patch indicates the “8th” conference, and 1955 was the eighth year since the first Area F meeting in 1948, there does not appear to have been an Area 3B event in 1949. This means that 1955 would have been the seventh actual area meeting.
