1956 Area 3C Pow Wow
The lodges of Area 3C met in 1956 at Camp Theodore Roosevelt, near Chesapeake Beach, Maryland on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay. Amangamek Wipit Lodge #470 hosted the event; this was the first area meeting hosted by the lodge, which had officially changed its name from “Amanquemack” at the start of the year. This was also the only area meeting ever held at Camp Roosevelt.
The event patch was embroidered on white twill with a tab to cut a buttonhole, and featured the US Capitol with a superimposed arrow.
There was also a long thin leather with a buttonhole issued for the event, with “CR” for Camp Roosevelt and the shark’s tooth totem of the host lodge.
