Old Spelling For Quilshan Uncovered by Frank Kern (Quil-Shan)

In a phone conversation with Frank Kern out of Bellingham, Washington yesterday he informed me of the first spelling of lodge 325′s name.

For years Quilshan had been thought to have only the one spelling but Frank uncovered official lodge documents that used the spelling of Quil-Shan. As we were talking it also came up that the A1a was issued during that period and overlapped into the Quilshan period.

And now that I have ruined the day of all name collectors in the nation – let me point out that none of the arrowhead shaped issues from 325 had the lodge name on them. I( guess now I have to acquire that issue so that I have at least one patch from every lodge in the Pacific Northwest.

If you need more information on this discovery please contact Frank Kern. He has done the research and deserves the full credit for this information.
