Merry Christmas!

To my friends and acquaintances of the Christian faith: A very Merry Christmas. In the words of the prophet Isaiah:
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government
shall be upon His shoulder; and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.
(Isaiah 9:6)
Thanks to George Frideric Handel, this verse has become one of the best known passages from the Old Testament. This passage was set to music in his great oratorio, “Messiah”. Here it is now, for your listening pleasure this Christmas morning:
