Ku-Ni-Eh 145 2009 Events Patches
Dick Pryor sent me images of several new and forthcoming issues from Ku-Ni-Eh 145. Included in this are images of the activity patches this lodge will use in 2009. This is outside my area that I usually highlight here but I thought they were worth sharing anyway. In their own way, they’re kind of cool.
The designs are rater simple, but each patch pays tribute to an aspect of this lodge’s history. Ku-Ni-Eh 145 was formed from the merger of Nachenum 145 and Ku-Ni-Eh 462. Lodge 462 absorbed Michikinaqua 155 and a similarly named Michi-Kina-Kwa 306. Before these lodges was the Ku-Ni-Eh honor society, a program which had existed in several camps throughout the country. These patches each pay tribute to one of the predecessor lodges.

At least from a lodge from their end of the state of Florida. First was the weekend patch; with only 300 made for weekend attended by 260+, several registered attendees did not get their patch.

The lodge will continue the tradition of the last few years and issue both a flap and a pocket patch.

Posted on Monday, January 12th, 2009 in Catawba 459 – Views: (47)Thanks to Larry Banks for sending these scans of the patches Catawba lodge will issue this year for its event. In addition there is an “all-events patch” issued to those who pre-register for all the lodge’s 2009 events. This last past was produced over a year ago, but only issued by the lodge once it started taking pre-registrations for the 2009 events.

Lodge 208: 1982 Fall Fellowship Neckerchief

Here is yet one more image recently sent to by by Larry Banks. This is a previously unlisted and undocumented neckerchief issued by Uwharrie lodge for the 1982 Fall Fellowship.
The simple design features a fierce looking and armed turtle, the lodge’s totem, rising out of the water. It is silk screened in red on a pink neckerchief. The design bears no similarity to that of the pocket patch (previously listed as eX1982) for this event.

Several lodges in Florida held events this past weekend, including Timuquan 340. For their Winter Conclave they continued their 2008-09 series of depictions of “Pre-Columbian Florida Natives”.

Lodge 117: 1985 Conclave Neckerchief
Croatan 117 N4?
Larry Banks just recently sent an image of yet another North Carolina section conclave delegate piece that had not been previously listed in Blue Book or this site.
This piece is a silk screened neckerchief issued by Croatan 117 for its delegates to the 1985 SE-7 Conclave. The neckerchief has a rather simple design including the lodge’s deer totem and the conclave theme. It appears to be rendered in black, silk screened on a white neckerchief.

January 13, 2009 – Alas, will it ever be built or used?
January 13, 2009 – Once this was a great show, but sloppy writing has all but killed it for me. It is full or so many plot holes and “deus ex machina” type twists that it has become laughable to watch. I don’t know if I’ll waste my time on it when it returns in February.
