Lodge 296: 2009 Conclave Flaps
Nayawin Rar hosted the 2009 SR-7B Conclave this past weekend at Camp Tuscarora. Following the example of six years ago, the lodge issued three flaps. In a welcome change from conclaves in the recent past, two of these were readily available in the trading post and easy to acquire.
The third flap was for conclave staff (pictured), had a significant service requirement, and was distributed one per person with no extras available for sale. This was arguably* the most difficult lodge issue for the conclave to acquire. one of the conclave staff flaps was sold in the conclave’s patch auction on Saturday evening. The flap was issued with an accompanying certificate of authenticity.
These are not yet on the main part of this site. The listing data for these issues are as follows:
| ssue | Bdr Color/Type | Bkgd | Name | fdl/BSA | Comments | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S46? | RED | R | M/C | WHT | GRY | fdl; 2009 Conclave Delegate |
| S47? | YEL | R | M/C | WHT | GRY | fdl; 2009 Conclave Delegate |
| S48? | RMY | R | M/C | WHT | GRY | fdl; 2009 Conlcave Staff |

* Ironically, an issue from lodge 70 might prove more difficult for many to get. However, conclave flaps from Tsoiotsi Tsogalii lodge just aren’t as well respect as similar issues from Nayawin Rar due to the sizes of the lodges and usual quantities produced.

I wound up with four different weekend patches – white boarder, red boarder, red boarder without a loop and red mylar boarder. Does anyone know what the differences between the boarders represent?
The red border w/ loop was the 1/delegate dangle in the ditty bag (packet). The no loop red was pre-order with the extras sold in the trading post. The white border w/loop was sold in the trading post and also available as a pre-order item….and finally, the red mylar bdr was issued as the host lodge dangle (only available for sale in the trading post).
Thanks Greg. John, will you place the red mylar in the 296 activity patches or leave it as a conference item? In Florida, we consider host items to be local lodge activities.
There was also a promotional preorder patch. You received one for every $25 that you preordered. It’s a cutout of the hawk off the patch with 2009 Cardinal Conclave in red. Tico, if you want one of these as well, drop me an e-mail at willhi1979 at yahoo.com. I have a couple extra.
