1990 SE-7 Conclave Cook Crew

Home Dearmin sent this to me a while ago and I have been a bit unsure whether this needs to be added to the Wahissa listings on this site.       This patch seems to enter into a grey area between lodge and section issues.

Wahissa lodge was the host for the 1990 SE-7 Conclave.   The conclave patch design was altered with the words “cook crew” being added to it and issued to those who staffed the coom crew at that event.     Wahissa has a long history of cook crew patches, generally issuing at least one per year, which has not been well documented by either Blue Book or this site.

A similar patch, X12,   was later issued when Wahissa hosted the SR-7B conclave in 2005.   However this patch uses the section design only as the basis for the patch, reworking it into the more traditional cook crew patch design for this lodge.

Can anyone please confirm whether the 1990 patch was issued by Wahissa lodge?     Should I treat this as a lodge or section issue?   Either way it is an unusual piece of insignia.     Those who collect this lodge’s cook crew issues may want to include this in their collection.

The greatest challenge facing mankind is the challenge of distinguishing reality from fantasy, truth from propaganda.
