It has been awhile since I last submitted to this blog.   Life is funny that way at times.

Each year for the past several years, Wauna La-Mon’Tay has issued activity patches for their 3 major events.   2008 was not different.   Recently the lodge has tried to use a gimick to get people to attend all 3 events or at least buy the set of patches.   In 2008 the gimick was to get all three patches to form a Vigil Triangle when sewn on the back of a jacket.   Nice thought but the design did not lend itself to the fact that only one patch would actually be correctly mounted.

Once again, three different designs were inside the patches.   The only consistent design, was that of the NW Coast Native American Art Design of the Sea Bear that has been present in the last several Rendezvous patches.   The patches were designed by John Durbetaki, who has designed a majority of the Wauna La-Mon’Tay patches as of late.

The Native American Arts and Ceremonies Patch was issued in January, the Rendezvous of the Order Patch was issued in March and the Leadership Development Patch was issued in November.

In 2009 3 patches are going to issued for all three of the events.   I will also blog about the NOAC sets and any other oddball issues that may occur.   (Rumor has it that we will be issuing our second leather patch at NOAC).
