Lodge 104: More 2009 NOAC Issues
I previously reported that Occoneechee lodge issued a two piece set, a jacket patch and a CSP for the 2009 NOAC. Now I have word of two more two piece sets issued for the upcoming NOAC.
The previous set had a bright blue border. These sets use the same basic design but have black (trader) and purple (restricted) borders. The listing data for these sets are as follows:
| Issue | Bdr Color/Type | Bkgd | Name | fdl/BSA | Comments | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| F11? | BLK | R | LPR | TMY* | TMY* | fdl; NOAC 2009, on GRY velveteen (trader) |
| F12? | PUR | R | LPR | TMY* | TMY* | fdl; NOAC 2009, on GRY velveteen (restricted) |
| X40? | BLK | R | LPR | PUR | LPR** | fdl; NOAC 2009, on GRY velveteen (trader) |

These sets will be added to the main part of this site soon.
* A quick note on this color code: As new metallic/mylar colors are used sometimes a new color code is needed. At first I wanted to call this “blue mylar” (BMY) as there is already a code for this, but that usually describes a significantly different shade. This is more like turquoise mylar, so I’ve dubbed it “TMY”. This color was first used to on the 2009 NOAC SAP/CSP from this lodge. I don’t know if that label will stick.
** The fleur d’lis (fdl) is clearly a lighter shade of purple than the lodge name, but is not the same “light purple” as the velveteen background. I not sure if we should call it “light purple” (LPR) for the sake of simplicity, or lavender (LAV) to denote it’s a different and third shade of purple. One choice is simpler and sufficient while the other may be more accurate. I’m going with the simpler choice for now.
