Jamboree Spam

Posted in Patch Collecting by John E. Pannell on October 20th, 2010 at 5:36 am

Since the day this blog was started, I have let readers comment with very little moderating by me.   There is software in place to trap spam comments.   However, spammers have become more clever and spam gets through.  Know, that I get an email when a comment posts.   I mercilessly delete spam as soon as I can.

Thanks to Rick Horne for his continuing efforts to scan the lodge issues from last Summer’s National Jamboree.   He sent another bunch of images last night and I am adding some of them to the site this morning before I head off to work.

I will add this link to the main page of the site over the weekend.

    Hello,
I was looking at the 2010 jamboree list and I noticed my lodge is listed as an F2. We are having an argument in our lodge whether its an “F” or a “C”. The beaver is a chenille and the book says that the letter C will be issued to a “Patch of any shape that is chenilled, either in whole or part”. So far, we think it should be C6 and not F2. I’m not sure if/when the blue book will get updated but that’s our lodge’s two cents.
