Aal-Pa-Tah Lodge 237 is commemorating its 70th anniversary in 2012, with its activity patch set for the year. At the recent Palm Beach Trade-O-Ree, a complete set of activity patches and the anniversary flap were sold in auction to one impatient collector who could not wait all year to obtain the full set one piece at a time. Each of the weekend pieces of the year’s activities are one letter of the word “GATOR”, as well as a segment of an alligator. Once the full set is assembled, the word is spelled and the alligator is complete. The year patch is the log upon which the gator lays, fitting like a jigsaw puzzle with the feet of the gator. There will also be an “uncut” set available, with all of the pieces together as one patch.
Also sold was a commemorative flap (S-109), reportedly 250 were made.
Two non-anniversary related items were created: One for the Trade-O-Ree itself (100 made), and a “Fast Pass”, a patch for those that pay for the lodge’s weekend events all at once (150 made).
